My Commitment

I am committed to the preservation of this planet and everything on it to the best of my abilities. My goal is to live as gently as possible, help guard our natural resources, and attain social equity and equality through compassion and inclusion.  I will do this through personal and professional commitments in the following ways:

*I will keep my fees for all health services as low as possible in order to allow for better access for all. Whenever possible and if appropriate, I offer group sessions for various things so clients can share costs. For those that can pay more than the fees I ask, I invite you to consider donating either to the scholarship fund (see below) or to one of the non-profits that I currently support.

*I will donate a portion of all Sahela Wellness profits to support organizations working in the following areas (Please see below for a few of the organizations that I have chosen to support in these sectors for 2023).

  • Global Health and Human Rights

  • Indigenous Lands and Peoples

  • Climate Change and Environmental Preservation

*I will commit to improving access to healthcare for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other traditionally marginalized populations through both pro bono work and a sliding scale fee program for my direct patient care services. Please inquire if you feel that you qualify for free or discounted services or are interested in assisting with these efforts by providing a donation to improve access through a contribution to the scholarship fund that I maintain.

*I  will commit to a minimum of 8 hours a week of pro bono work for grassroots non-profit organizations that work in the Global Public Health sector in low-resource settings. For a description of current projects, or to assist with these efforts by financially supporting these community organizations, please contact me for information.

*I will contribute to carbon offsetting programs for all credit card and Venmo transactions, maintenance of this website, Zoom platform use, electronic health record maintenance, and other administrative components that utilize carbon resources
